Layering lyrics of heartbreak and self-worth over glitzy instrumentals, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter JORDY built an organic fan base through the late 2010s and early 2020s with his brand of relationship-centric pop. 

Starting his music career after a move to Los Angeles, pop singer/songwriter JORDY made his debut on Herrin and Tofû's "Gotta Leave" (2017) before releasing his own debut single, "Be with Me," in 2018. Playing with a bubbly, relationship-centric pop style, the musician closed out the year with singles "Just Friends" and "Somebody Else," as well as a further collaboration with Vancouver's Tofû. His debut EP, heralded by singles "Stay Together," and "Irrational," arrived in April 2019. Welcome to the Friend Zone, the singer's independent first project, focused on ideas of rejection and heartbreak, scored by high-fidelity, glitzy pop instrumentals. After closing out the year with another run of singles, the singer's second EP, Psycho, arrived in early 2020, compiling singles "High Score," "All Good," and "Is It Love?" with two new tracks. ~ David Crone, Rovi
